Fantasy is great, but this is just a lazy author's poorly executed representation of the bdsm scene. The plot lines never develop beyond an unsatisfying "quickie," and there's zero character development. My lack of engagement made the sloppy editing extremely irritating. Try authors Riley Murphy, Cherise Sinclair, or the Crossfire series.

My apologies for all the negativity, but I mistakenly trusted the other reviews.

The Plume The Second Collection The Plume Collections Ella Ardent 9781519060402 Books Reviews

I thoroughly enjoyed the Plume. It was very well written. I thought it could have gone through another editing as there were a couple issues with words, and there was a lull between the second and third books in the collection. Otherwise I liked the many kinky scenarios and especially the red jello chase to get to the girl. In the style of writing is saw shades of M. Never's books, which I also liked very well. The Plume had much more variety and entertainment. Great job!
The books in this anthology were repetitive and boring. I had to finish reading it in the hope that it would get better. I would not recommend these books, will never get that time back.
Women are used as playthings without negotiation or safety measures in place. The hood really creeped me out. Turning inexperienced women into faceless objects is disturbing, particularly when they have zero experience in an edgy lifestyle. The book is a thinly plotted fantasy and if anyone you don't know (and have never seen) asks you to participate in such a scene, it's time to flee.
I have been victim of many a BDSM erotica mishap purchases that end up being a crappy version of Penhouse Forums.

I was stunned and amazed at how well and quickly I was brought into the story lines of The Plume Anthologies.

The Second Anthology was mezmerizing in a way that was far from expected.

I hope that Ella comes up with a way to resolve the final climax of each character's predicament and continues to recreate a new fantasy world.

Being whom I was for many years in NYC I was thrilled and amazed at the storyline and The Plume was as important to these characters as Peepshow was to both me and my partner.
One of the worst and most unbelievable BDSM sagas. And this is the more edgy master and slave stuff. The master had zero personality and was so haughty and selfish. The primary female character was mostly gullible and stupid. The scenes were weird and just off-the-charts wrong. A woman would know if a man didn't use protection. DUH! So against the rules! Then there is the dungeon scene with Annette. What novice would not scream her lungs out in pain when attacked with no preparation like Joanna was by a woman with a strap-on in the rear. I wanted her to scream at Rex and slap the crap out of him, more than once. The last volume with Mike didn't even interest me. If they can't work it out after finding they both have the same freaky needs, hang it up! And get an EDITOR! The errors were annoying.
The Plume The First Anthology by Ella Ardent contains three novellas that are put together in this anthology.
I stumbled upon this book through with it being a free book. I decided to dive into it while on vacation. I was in the need of a true BDSM story, that others before it had been lacking.
This story is about a journalist on the hunt for the story.Joanna apply's for admission to this super secret club, however the owner, Rex will do anything to keep his club private. These short stories start with ex's attempting to teach Joanne a lesson in Submission in order to scare her off the story. It does the exact opposite, causing Joanne to realize that she is a submissive at heart and that what Rex is giving her is what she desires.
These short stories, put together into this anthology is HOT! I devoured this first book, and will plan on reading the other two anthologies that complete this series. The writing is fluid and draws the reader into the character development. I loved this book! 5 Stars
The Plume – The First Anthology by Ella Ardent consists of three parts and is named for the fictional private BDSM club owed and operated by business partners Master Rex and (the Countess) Athena. Rex is a complex, interesting but strange character who has had a crush on Joanna since high school. Now here she is at is doorstep, a journalist trying to get into The Plume in order to do an article on the exclusive and secretive club. Her co-worker Mike knows Rex and has a personal past with The Plume. He also has a secret desire for Joanne. The stage is set and all of these characters are ready to play their parts. Let the erotic games begin. Who's desires and dreams will come true and who will be left disappointed.

This is not the best book of this genre that I have read, but I finished it if only to see what would happen to each character. I neither liked or disliked it. It was just ok. I will add that many parts of it did not seem very realistic, especially when the notion of a safe word never found its way from the authors pen to the fantasy played out on the pages of this book.
Fantasy is great, but this is just a lazy author's poorly executed representation of the bdsm scene. The plot lines never develop beyond an unsatisfying "quickie," and there's zero character development. My lack of engagement made the sloppy editing extremely irritating.
